A week of great excuses…

From daily drink deals to spice up your working week, to great food offers that are sure to tempt you out of the house, we have all bases covered!

Monday – Steak Night

Everyone loves steak, right? (Well, not everyone but, we offer dishes for vegetarians too). Every Monday from 6pm, we are offering two delicious 8oz Hampshire sirloin steaks with chunky chips for just £25.

Our steaks are locally sourced from the well-known Alf Turner family butchers, to ensure a delicious, fresh cut of meat for you and a mate to enjoy, every time. It’s part of our commitment to the community in which we serve, and, well, the Hampshire steaks taste great too.

Tuesday – Dine for £10

We run this deal on Monday – Thursday, but we thought we’d highlight just how good the offer is. Enjoy a different dish and a selected drink, every week for just £10.

From pub classics like a chicken and bacon pie, to a grilled pork chop with creamy mash, buttered vegetables and a creamed wholegrain mustard sauce, the dishes are all delicious but which will take your fancy? Wednesday – #GinWednesday

The ever-popular hump day remedy! Join us on a Wednesday and enjoy any of our 12 premium gins (many of which are locally produced) and a Fever-Tree mixer for just £5, all day. We serve our G&T’s in gin goblets (elegant bowls which you could almost swim in), they’re a treat and talking point here at the Royal Exchange so come and find your favourite new gin this week.

Perhaps the Twisted Nose gin, produced at the Winchester Distillery just a few miles down the road will take your fancy with its unique flavour, incorporating watercress for an exciting but subtle, spicy twist on the traditional juniper taste.

Thursday – Sharers’ Night

One to enjoy with your friends; a bottle of wine and a good catch up over a delicious sharing board! Our head chef Marietjie and her team have created a selection of delicious sharing platters packed with local treats such as our Best of British board of BBQ pulled pork, chicken liver parfait, delicious pork and leek sausages, roast beef, cranberry and orange jelly, horseradish and fresh bloomer bread. Or perhaps the baked camembert will take your fancy…

Whichever sharing platter you choose, you can enjoy 30% off from 6pm every Thursday. Tie this in with a happy hour deal on a bottle of wine and you have the equation for a great night out!

Friday – Happy Hour (ish)

We understand that by Friday, everyone is ready to relax and enjoy themselves, looking forward to their weekend off. That’s why we have extended our happy hourish on Friday, Saturday & Sunday and we are running all our drink offers from 4-6:30 so you can slip into the weekend in style!

Saturday – Weekend Specials

As you know, we like to regularly update our specials board depending on what fresh produce we get from our local suppliers. On the weekends, we make sure to have a range of delicious specials on offer like a perfect Barbary duck leg, or a delicate pan-fried sea bass fillet. Whether you are looking for a light bite or a fabulous 3 course meal on your weekend, we have you covered.

Sunday – Sweet Tooth Sunday.

For those who like pudding, we have a great offer for you! Enjoy a free dessert with every Sunday roast, it’s as simple as that. We have a range of yummy treats available on our Winter Menu and we’re confident you will love our mocha crème brûlée or our chocolate brownie sundae. Have we sufficiently tempted you now?
