Rain Rain Go Away

We haven’t had a great week of weather but there’s no stopping us! Although some of the external work has been delayed slightly, we’ve had plenty to get on with inside and with the good weather that is forecast for the coming week we’ll be up to speed in no time.

We have started to re-build the barn this week; one of the oldest parts of the pub that we are so pleased to have been able to save. Once complete, the barn will be one of the feature dining areas of the new pub.

The whole pub has had new windows which have gone in this week as has the new doorway coming off the car park; we’ll be maintaining the orginal side entrance which walks straight into the bar area, as well as the main entrance off the car park which opens into the dining area of the pub.

The all important cellar drop continues to be developed and the electricians and plumbers have been busy on their first fix this week too.

While it’s been busy onsite, we’ve also been getting plenty of things sorted offsite too; furniture orders have been placed, we’ve finalised the paint colours, devised a planting scheme and chosen some pictures to help decorate the interior.

All in all it has been a busy week and we’re still on track to open in November!
