Celebrate the best of Hampshire food & drink
Throughout July, we are celebrating all the wonderful food and drink produced in Hampshire, as part of the Hampshire Fare Food Festival; a month long excuse to try some wonderful, local produce!
We are passionate about all things local, from supporting local charities and being involved in the community to helping to build valuable local business relationships and of course, sourcing a whole range of Hampshire ingredients for you to sample, from pork scratchings to gin.
This year Hampshire Fare celebrates 25 years, so 25 chefs, have created 25 dishes in honour of this milestone! Our ’25 plates’ specialty dish is a mouth watering sharing board featuring a selection of Hampshire meats and produce including Alf Turner’s award-winning Hair of the Hog sausages, homemade chicken liver pâté, Hampshire rare roast beef, homemade black pudding Scotch egg and a trio of Hampshire charcuterie from Ambrose Sausages.
On Saturday 16th July our sister pub, The Exchequer near Fleet, will be hosting a Best of Hampshire BBQ on their rear patio, where they’ll be serving up a delicious selection of local food and drink under a beating summer sun (hopefully)! So save the date and grab the whole family to help support a host of fabulous local producers at The Exchequer.
